On the Bridge over troubled waters. The clean water factory 08.02.2007

President of UK based Jurby WaterTech Victor Redko was born, educated in Russia, where he also served the obligatory military service. Still, his business success came about in the West. His UK-registered company operates in many countries, supplying advanced water treatment technologies for petroleum, chemical, power generating and other industries in the countries of the former Soviet Union and elsewhere. In January Jurby WaterTech board endorsed decision on construction of its first manufacturing facility in Russia.he clean water factory

Jurby WaterTech International starts a construction project for water treatment and purification equipment plant. The project will be located in Moscow suburb Kotelniki, where the company has its office and manufacturing and storage facility. The project is slated for completion in August 2007. The project is commented by the company's head Viktor Redko.

Viktoras Oil Market 1"The project is unique, first of all due to its integrated production process which will include design, engineering, metalwork, production of filter tanks and automation systems, moulding and final assembly of the units. Such design would enable the company to manufacture non-standard tailormade equipment for water treatment, with consideration of projects' design and clients' needs".

The new project has been designed with high automation levels and cutting-edge know-how in mind. The plant will produce equipment for filtration, deironing, softening and demineralization of water for utilities companies, nuclear power plants, refining, petrochemical industry, agrochemistry, metallurgy and communal services.

"The Moscow and Kiev offices of Jurby WaterTech International offer turnkey projects to the clients. We have sufficient number of orders from companies engaged in above-named industries and could load the projected plant to the full even now. Russia has no such plant yet. Sure, there are producers of metal filters and containers, but they produce standard high-pressure equipment designed over 30 years ago. The water treatment equipment producers - generally, small engineering companies - are forced to use this equipment in their projects, buying it from large heavy engineering plants. Water treatment companies can't control equipment quality, price, delivery terms, and so can't be flexible in technical and design solutions for their projects", says Redko.

The new plant would ensure shorter delivery and project completion times, reducing expenses, ensuring competitive price and guaranteeing high quality, which would make Jurby WaterTech International more attractive supplier of equipment, technology and services, said the head of the company. The plant will capitalize on the company's industrial experience and latest welding technologies. The welding lines are designed by leading R&D centres - Paton institute of welding (Kyiv, Ukraine) and VNIIESO Russia's welding institute (St. Petersburg, Russia). The welding lines would ensure automatic welding according to the client's specifications.

"The plant will have ISO 9001:2000 compliant quality management system from the outset. This would enable us to produce high-quality equipment", said the president of the company. "We hope that our effort will find a positive response among our clients and that the production of the company will be in high demand".
