The works on manufacture of the water treatment complex (ion-exchange technology) for the Chelyabinskaya CHPP-3 (Subsidiary OAO FORTUM, Chelyabinsk, the Russian Federation) are accomplished at the production facilities of Jurby WaterTech International. It will be recalled that the Jurby WaterTech International's technicians have designed, manufactured and performed the supervised installation and commissioning works for the water treatment complex designed for the Chelyabinskaya CHPP-3. At the given moment, the equipment as a part of a set of the water treatment plant is prepared for shipment.
Reference: The Chelyabinskaya CHPP-3 has two power units and two steam boilers and three hot-water peaking boilers at the hot-water peaking boiler plant. The installed capacity amounts to 360 MW of electricity and 1092 Gcal/h of heat. A new, third power unit of the combined-cycle plant which will have a capacity of 220 MW is under construction at the Chelyabinskaya CHPP-3. It is scheduled to be brought on line for March, 2010. The water treatment system is designed for this very power unit. OAO Fortum is established on the basis of the former OAO TGC-10. The Fortum's installed capacity is over 2.785 MW of electricity and 11.862 Gcal/h of heat. The enterprises of Fortum are located in the Urals and West Siberia. The Company operates eight thermal power plants; five of them are located in Chelyabinsk Region and three - in Tyumen Region. The electric energy generated by Fortum's power stations is supplied to the Russia's wholesale electricity market (OREM). The thermal energy is transmitted to the local thermal markets in the cities of presence of OAO Fortum and its subsidiary, Ural Teplosetevaya Company, specializing in supply of heat to various customer groups.
