Completion of the first stage of production of water treatment complex for KAZATOPROM's  MAEC (Mangystau Atomic Power Combine) subsidiary, the city of Aktau, Kazakhstan, is one of this week's latest news in the sphere of the energy complex projects of the international engineering company, Jurby WaterTech International.

We would remind you that our company continues increasing the pace of cooperation with the enterprises of Kazakhstan's energy sector. The present agreement provides for design, manufacture, delivery and supply of installation supervision, as well as, performance of commissioning and start-up works on the water treatment system for desalinated water at MAEK subsidiary- Kazatomprom - HPP-1. The installed capacity of Mangistau Atomic Power Combine HPP-1 amounts to 55 MW. The year of putting it into operation is 1967.

Reference: Since May 1, 2003, the owner and operator of MAEC power complex has been MAEC- Kazatomprom LLP - a 100% subsidiary enterprise of the National Atomic Company Kazatomprom. The complex reliably provides the population of the city of Aktau, the nearest inhabited localities and the region industrial enterprises with drinking and technical water, heat and electric power. The MAEC employs about 4,000 workers and technical engineers. The power complex structure includes three heat power plants (HPP-1, HPP-2 and TPP), a plant for distillate production and industrial water supply and a BN-350 reactor plant. At present, the power complex produces up to 40 thousand cubic meters of distillate per day and its electric loading is more than 400 megawatts.
