Reference: The installed energy power of Surgutskaya GRES-2 power station (OGK-4) is 4800 MW. It is the most high-power thermal station on the Eurasian continent. Surgutskaya GRES-2 is one of the most efficient thermal power plants throughout the country. The technical-and-economic performance of the plant is highly competitive with its foreign counterparts: specific fuel consumption is less than 305 g/kWh; auxiliary power consumption is about 2.5%. The peak power output was achieved in 1990 and amounted to 34.9 billion kWh. Altogether, since placed in operation, Surgutskaya GRES-2 power station has generated over 560 billion kWh of electric power.
