Works at Ekibastuz GRES-1 are executed ahead of schedule

sam_37.jpg (thumb, 215x161)The final phase of works executed by Jurby WaterTech International on project “Reconstruction and modernization of water treatment plants for needs of Ekibastuz GRES-1 named after Bulat Nurzhanov” (Ekibastuz, the Republic of Kazakhstan) began. This project entails the technical re-equipment of boilers at GRES-1 for the low-cost production of demineralised water under conditions of successive increase of salt concentration in raw water. As per project, the reconstruction of GRES-1 equipment involves the necessity of improving the water quality as related to the main parameters: electrical conductivity and Na and SiO2 content.

The company fully completed design, manufacture and assembly of equipment included in the water treatment complex intended for Ekibastuz GRES-1, after which it was delivered to the Customer's site.

For now, at the site, Jurby WaterTech International's technicians have put into operation 65 per cent of technological equipment, consisting of:

  • Clarifier
  • Self-washing filter
  • Ultrafiltration plants
  • RO plants
  • Decarbonizers
  • Water decontamination plants
  • Electrodeionization units

The startup and commissioning works in relation to the first part of equipment were executed ahead of established schedule. The whole project is scheduled to be completed by June this year.

It is to be recalled that our company is currently preparing for closeout of also such projects as TPP-2 in Astana city.
