News of company projects in Russia’s oil refining industry sector: water treatment complex for Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC is shipped to the Customer

antipinskiy.jpg (thumb, 150x150)Jurby WaterTech International continues its cooperation with Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC (Tyumen, Russian Federation). The main objectives of Antipinsky Oil Refinery by the 2015 Year end are as follows: to increase the volume of oil product output from 4.1 to 7. 5 million tons per year, to reach the oil processing depth of 94% and to transfer to the production of gasoline complying with Euro-5 standard. Due to the fact that any construction of a refinery with the maximum possible oil processing depth producing the complete range of high-quality engine fuels requires significant capital investments, refineries are constructed in several workflow phases. Each phase implies the organization of a complete production cycle making it possible to refine oil and ship a certain range of oil products of agreed quality to consumers. This is the development mode chosen by Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC. Workflow Phase I of the enterprise was commissioned in 2006 and Workflow Phase II – in 2010. Currently, Phase III of construction of Antipinsky Oil Refinery‘s facilities is under way. The off-plant facilities, namely,  boiler house, gas control units, distribution substations, recirculating water supply unit and more, necessary for the normal operation of processing facilities and installations are under construction.

About project

In 2012, WaterTech International concluded a contract for execution of the project and working documentation and delivery of a complete condensate purification plant to the facility “Workflow Phase III of Construction of Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC”. The capacity of the condensate purification plant amounts to 62 tones per hour; the temperature of initial condensate -  90°С.  The technicians of our company are engaged in performance of the full range of works for Antipinsky Oil Refinery (Tyumen, Russian Federation), including design, manufacturing, contract supervision, commissioning and start-up of АquaHard water treatment complex. For the moment, a condensate purification plant is completely shipped and is on its way to the Customer.

Engineering aspect of design

Content of impurities in initial first condensate of the steam condensate purification plant:

-          total hardness: not more than 100 µEq/L/kg;
-          content of compounds of:
-          oil products: not more than 10 mg/kg;
-          iron: not more than 200 µg/kg;
-          рН: not lower than 5.5;
-          permanganate oxidability: not more than 5.0 mg О2/kg.

Content of impurities in purified condensate at the condensate purification plant output:

-          total hardness: not more than 10 µEq/L/kg;
-          content of compounds of:
-          oil products: 1.0 mg/kg;
-          iron: not more than 100 µg/kg;
-          рН: not lower than 5.5.

In the process of purification, it is required to remove from condensate possible mechanical impurities, oil products, iron compounds and hardness ions. To accomplish this, it was decided to use the methods of sorption filtration and Na-cation ion exchange. The process of water softening by Na-cation ion exchange method is organised in two stages. The second stage is used for deep softening of condensate.

History of cooperation

It is the second project Jurby WaterTech International implements for Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC. The cooperation between our companies started in 2011. Jurby WaterTech International designed, manufactured and performed installation and commissioning of 200 m3/h water treatment complex for Antipinsky Oil Refinery CJSC. The complex was successfully put into commercial operation early in 2012. It is worth noting that all works were executed to high standards of quality and on term and meet the customer’s requirements and technical specifications, as the official papers say. The water treatment complex is designed for supply of facilities of Antipinsky Oil Refinery’s finished products area with water (production needs: a steam boiler-house, as well as, utility and drinking needs).
